On July 10th, 1856, in the little village Smilyan in Lika, which was aAustrian-Hungarian province, Milutin Tesla, Serbian Orthodox priest, saw the birth of his forth child Nikola.
Nikola was a sickly child. He did not respond to treatments so his family would sit him in the sun for long periods of time. These "sun-kicks" helped him to recover somewhat. Nikola would stare into the sun in the mornings as his little body warmed up. His family thought that he had damaged his eyesight as he began to suffer from what they described as apparitions that took the form of flashes of light.
As his apparitions became less frequent, he acquired an uncanny ability to visualise mechanical devices precisely. His invention visions came to him fully formed. He also developed a photographic memory and was able to recall all of his invention visions in full detail all his life without drawing them. His alternating current discovery came when he was twenty-five. Strolling with a friend in a Budapest park, Tesla was reciting poetry when he was suddenly blinded by a flash of reflected light and he fell into a trance. When he emerged, he sketched an alternating-current electrical motor in the dirt that used changing magnetic fields to turn a rotor with almost no moving parts. The rest is history. You could not be reading this today if it was not for this world-changing vision that happened about a little over a hundred years ago. Our world has become totally dependant on the magic of electricity . Yet we never stop to think of the fragile flow of electrons from our Sun to our Earth and what effect it may have upon humans. The ionosphere shields our world from the devastating solar winds, vast storms of electrons rushing over our planet into the inky blackness of space. Yet, in only the last 100 years we have learned to harvest this most dynamic natural force, due to a blinding vision in the dirt by a sun-gazing Hungarian-Serb! Nikola felt a deep and insatiable vocation to be an electrical engineer. The family felt that working in a trade was below their station so Tesla's father wouldn't allow him to study in a polytechnic type Institute. Instead he wanted him to follow his spiritual nature and become a priest. Nikola fell deeply sick due to this disagreement. The illness became critical and it appeared that Nikola was going to die. So, on what they thought was his death bed, Nikola's father finally agreed with desire of his sick son. Nikola Tesla made a miraculous recovery and proceeded into his new vocation

with gusto.
Yet when he was under stress or was exerting great mental efforts, he would again suffer from his strange phenomenon of strong flashing lights followed by clear visions. Today we know carona-migraines are a common affliction of those who have parapsychological gifts.
Nikola Tesla describes it himself this way: "In my boyhood I suffered from a peculiar affliction due to the appearance of images, often accompanied by strong flashes of light, which covered the sight of real objects and interfered with my thought and actions....When a word was spoken to me the image of the object it designated would present itself vividly to my vision and sometimes I was quite unable to distinguish whether what I saw was tangible or not." He also described his spontaneous mind travelling:"Then, instinctively, I commenced making mind trips beyond the limits of the small world of which I had knowledge and I saw new scenes. These were at first very blurred and indistinct, and would flit away when I tried to concentrate my attention upon them but, by and by, I succeeded in fixing them; they gained in strength and distinctness and finally assumed the concreteness of real thing. I soon discovered that my best comfort was attained if I simply went on in my vision further and further, getting new impressions all the time, and so I began to travel - of course in my mind. Every night (and sometimes during the day) when alone, I would start on my journeys, see new places, cities and countries, live there, meet people and make friendships and acquaintances and, however unbelievable, it is a fact that they were just as real and dear to me as those in actual life and not one bit less intense in their manifestations. This I did constantly until I was seventeen, when my thoughts turned seriously to invention." Today this is know as Remote Viewing. Tesla was able to clearly visulise his discoveries, without experiments, models and drawings. He developed his own method to bring his creative concepts in to material reality.
Tesla made a sharp distinction between ideas, which were coming into his mind as visions and those, which appear due to his analytical thought processes. Tesla explained: "The moment when somebody designs an imaginary device is connected with a problem of transfer from raw idea to the practice. That's why any discovery made this way has lack of details, and usually it is inferior."
Tesla did not use empirical methodology. Instead, When a concept appeared, he immediately began to elaborate it in his imagination. He would change its design, improving it and would finally "switch on" the device to begin its operation in his head. For him it did not matter whether he tested his invention in the laboratory or in his mind. He even had time to notice if something was going to prevent his invention to work properly before the creation of that devise had begun. All his inventions were developed by this method with no exceptions for twenty years.
Tesla believed that every one of his visions were a result of the influence of external intelligence of the sun. He believed that he had become and "automaton of cosmic forces" of the sun. He called the process teleautomatic control. From this he designed the first remote control. When skeptics declared this to be impossible, Tesla proved his remote control worked before a crowd in Madison Square Garden with a boat guided by remote control. Tesla felt his life was guided in the same way by the sun.
